One-on-one DJ foundations coaching
Live coaching with DJ J-Hill$—built around your equipment, your starting point, and the kind of DJ you want to become.
The outcome
Random tutorials can show you isolated tricks. This program gives you an order, a practice plan, direct feedback, and a finish line.
Four phases · Twelve modules
Each phase builds on the last, with weekly assignments that turn the lesson into repeatable skill.
Understand your equipment, configure your practice setup, organize your music, and begin hearing songs in bars and phrases.
Practice beatmatching, phrasing, and EQ control until your transitions sound intentional instead of accidental.
Build a useful transition library, blend across styles, and use effects as creative tools rather than shortcuts.
Shape energy, read the room, build a complete set, and record a 15–20 minute showcase that demonstrates your progress.
What is included
The goal is not simply to finish 12 calls. It is to leave with a practice system and performance skills you can keep developing.

Your coach
DJ J-Hill$ brings more than five years of live-event experience, multiple ongoing residencies, and practical experience across bars, clubs, restaurants, private events, weddings, corporate functions, and family-entertainment venues.
The curriculum connects technical fundamentals to real DJ work: organizing music so it is usable, reading a room, choosing the right transition, building energy, and staying prepared when the environment changes.
Before you apply
No. Complete beginners are welcome, and the program can also be adjusted for newer DJs who already understand some basics but need structure and feedback.
A consistent practice setup is important, but you do not need to have every purchase figured out before the consultation. We will review what you own and identify a realistic setup path before enrollment.
Plan for at least four focused practice periods each week, usually 20–30 minutes at a time. Consistent short repetitions matter more than one long session, and every week includes a clear assignment and proof of practice.
Choose an available 15-minute time on the live calendar and answer the short coaching questions. You will receive a calendar invitation and private Google Meet link for a conversation about your experience, equipment, expectations, and schedule.
No payment is collected with the consultation request. After the consultation, program fit and the 12-week schedule are confirmed, accepted students receive a private payment link for the full tuition or approved three-payment plan.
You receive written enrollment confirmation, complete the full student intake, receive your private coaching dashboard and Week 1 preparation, complete a baseline assessment, and confirm the 12-session schedule before coaching begins.
No. The three payments divide the full program tuition into scheduled installments. Enrollment covers the complete 12-week program rather than a cancel-anytime monthly membership.
The published in-person tuition assumes an agreed Greensboro-area meeting arrangement. Travel outside the normal area, special locations, or additional facility costs are discussed before enrollment and quoted separately.
